Newsome, President, NYMEX, HE Nasser Al Jashmi, Undersecretary, Oman Ministry of Oil and Gas, Gary King, CEO DME, and Juma Al Hinai, Director General of Revenue, Oman Ministry of Finance, gathered on the Dubai Mercantile Exchange trading floor to celebrate the Exchange's 1st Anniversary and launch of two new contracts. The DME's flagship contract, the DME Oman Crude Oil Futures Contract, is increasingly seen as the 3rd global benchmark for crude oil and first for Middle Eastern sour crude. With over 70 members, the approval of 24 regulatory bodies, and over 350m barrels of oil traded - the DME has a lot to celebrate today and looks forward to even more success in Year Two.
